* First time by this orchestra
The 2009-2010 season is happy to bring back to Tenerife some of its most distinguished artists, performers who live outside our island and have developed brilliant careers nationwide and abroad. This is the case of Guillermo González, a Professor at the Royal High Music Conservatory of Madrid, who was in charge of an acclaimed recording of Albéniz's Iberia, and, as a pianist, participated in the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. With his usual depth, he will offer Ravel's Piano Concerto in G major. Lü Jia will also show his commitment to Canary Islands creation with Las Rosas de Hércules, by one of our most dynamic composers, Emilio Coello, whose Misa de Conmemoración for the Virgin of Candelaria recently premiered in Madrid. The programme will be rounded with one of the last three great symphonies by W. A. Mozart, the No. 39 in E flat major.
