* First time by this orchestra

The distinguished Austrian composer Hans Graf has developed a fast-rising international career that has allowed him to lead great orchestral projects in America, Europe and Asia, with regular appearances at the helm of the most prestigious Western orchestras, in opera theatres, including the Vienna State Opera, and as chief conductor of the Houston Orchestra. His ten-year-long association with the Salzburg Mozarteum Orchestra and the works of Mozart, whose entire symphonic production he has recorded, come alive in this programme. In addition to Dvořák's Symphony no. 7 and this Czech composer's contribution to the concert overture genre, Graf will offer two of Sergei Rachmaninoff's beautiful songs and the renowned "Letter Scene" from P. I. Tchaikovsky's opera Yevgenii Onegin. The Latvian Kristīne Opolais, one of the newest stars in the lyric scene, will add her brilliant, rich voice to this Slav repertoire.
