* First time by this orchestra
The honorary conductor of the OST, Víctor Pablo Pérez, continues his commitment to the great names of Spanish interpretation, with many of whom he has maintained a close, fruitful artistic relationship for years. This is the case of the prestigious pianist Rosa Torres-Pardo, who has a solid international career and also shows a strong commitment to our country's creation. She has maintained a close relationship with the Symphony Orchestra of Tenerife that led to a recording, for Decca, of the two versions of Albéniz's Rapsodia Española and Montsalvatge's Concerto breve, also conducted by V.P. Pérez. The maestro will take on an emblematic piece from the early symphonic creation of German Romanticism, Mendelssohn's "Reformation Symphony", support Spanish music with Parera Fons' Nocturn per un capvestre blau and allow Torres-Pardo to display Saint-Saëns' exquisite, crystalline pianism with his Concerto no. 2.
