In July, the Symphony Orchestra of Tenerife will offer three concerts in Beijing, as part of the parallel activities held by a trade mission of the Island Council of Tenerife to showcase the Island as a tri-continental logistic platform.
The presence of Chinese maestro Lü Jia as chief conductor and artistic director of the OST has facilitated the orchestra’s visit, which will be the first Spanish symphony group to perform at the National Centre for the Performing Arts [NCPA]. The concerts will be held on 4, 5 and 6 July.
The OST, which has already carried its name throughout the Iberian Peninsula and has made several tours in Europe, thereby ratifies its role as an excellent cultural ambassador for the Island.
