The OST offers three concerts at the NCPA in Beijing

The Symphony Orchestra of Tenerife is already in Beijing, where it will offer three concerts at the National Centre for the Performing Arts [NCPA], on 4, 5 and 6 July, conducted by its chief conductor, Lü Jia.

On 4 July, the concert will be held at the NCPA Opera Theatre and will offer a symphonic repertoire from European Classicism and Romanticism, with an introductory tribute to Spanish music.

A lyric gala will be held at the same hall on 5 July. The orchestra will be joined by two of the most promising figures in the Chinese lyric scene, soprano Chunyu Xu and tenor Shuang Li, who will take on arias and duets from the most famous Verdi and Puccini operas.

Finally, on 6 July, the OST will offer an ambitious programme at the NCPA Concert Hall, composed of Beethoven's Symphony no. 5 and two symphonic poems by Richard Strauss.
